Man I really wish Disney wasn't trying to get edgy, Star Wars was just fine without attempted SA. If you can imagine a world with the force and lightsabers I think you can also imagine a world without gendered sexual violence.

One month into parenthood, I have been thinking about when people say you don't know what love is until you have a child blah blah blah.
I can understand how they get there. The way I love my child is very different, and very intense. I disagree that it's the only way to experience love.

When your entire belief system is rooted in punishment & purity, finding treatments for illnesses starts looking like subverting "gods" will. And survivors of those same illnesses are heralded as evidence of "gods" compassion.

The "us vs them" attitude from MAGA folks is so disheartening. We're over here, trying to protect everybody's access to basic needs and civil liberty, and meanwhile there's this entire demographic that would love to see everyone they disagree with suffer. It's so malicious, it makes me sad.

I wish there was some way to tell these young men they are committing serious federal crimes that could easily result in life in prison, and "just doing their job" isn't going to keep them safe from prosecution.
