A portrait I drew of my cat Lady Larken (of Duloc) a while back. Some routine lab work came back abnormal this week, so I'm thinking of her more than usual. I do love this little bean. 💕

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Take a walk.

Think of one thing you're grateful for, no matter how small.

Think of one small thing that is in your control that you can do right now, and do that thing.

If you find yourself reconsidering where to buy your books in light of Target ending DEI, don't forget your local independent bookstores! I'll happily spend a bit more, and wait a little longer for my pre-ordera #booksky #target

“Sauve qui peut”. This is a French phrase that translates to something like “run for your life!” or “every man for himself!”, indicating a chaotic or dangerous situation. Postcard from my collection, no date/info.

Don’t be glum about the long, cold winter. Look around: the trees are busy, not sleeping. When the temperature permits, cells in this bud are dividing, maturing into flowers, leaves, stems. The cambium, maker of all the trees, is preparing for its spring festivities. Be like a tree: keep growing.
