I actually think one of the most American lessons you could learn in school is that your neighbors come from all races & religions, speak different languages, have families that may look different from yours, and that's what makes us great. I'd make Cultural Studies a requirement over Algebra II.

I got a kudos last week on a fic I wrote almost 20 years ago, still posted on a site I haven’t logged into in 10+ years, in a fandom I haven’t been active in for 10+ years, and it still made me kick my feet and giggle.

My conspiracy theory is that the pivot away from text based social media to video was encouraged in order to make it easier to push disinformation on people and make it harder to absorb nuanced information.

I’ve done this a few dozen times in my life and have never and will never get it on the first try.
