We are exploring ways to break away from the red and blue binary in politics and find political organizing that better serves Alaska and takes advantage of our rank choice voting. Take the survey, it’s collecting information on what people want to see in our representatives.

So many of my colleagues laughed at me for saying this… but… a few colleagues didn’t… and I think they saved a LOT of lives in the first few years.

“In a society like ours, more than 90% of the time we are indoors, be at home, office, school … so it is indoor air which is most important for our health

This is the problem right now. we must establish indoor air quality standards & mandate those standards”

Huge congrats to Prof Morawska!

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

We haven't set a firm deadline yet but our survey will probably be open another week or two if anyone from the #akleg #alaskasky #aknews crowd wants to provide feedback on a new party effort we're exploring.

There are a variety of climate-driven environmental threats to Alaska's rural communities, and local communities do not have the capacity to address them alone. The longer we wait for mitigation funding, the more displacement happens and the more rural, Indigenous communities are fragmented.
