I believe I'm right in thinking that what IT people really want when things aren't working properly is for lots of people to tell them that things aren't working properly so I'd just like the IT people at @nationalarchives.gov.uk.web.brid.gy to know that, currently, things aren't working properly...

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

Trump and Vance have repeatedly claimed that Zelensky has not been sufficiently grateful for U.S. support throughout the war.

We compiled instances where Zelensky has publicly expressed gratitude to the U.S., its people, and its leadership for being Ukraine’s largest supporter.

Trying to recall something, perhaps someone can help me

Did I see a recent post about an online event on February 28th where the focus or theme will be standards for presenting dna evidence?

Or did I dream it?

I knew that my 2nd great grandfather Archibald Megget (1808-1876) was a public health doctor with an interest in hydrotherapy. Now, thanks to FamilySearchFullText, I know that he briefly ran a bath (cold, warm and showers) at Priors Haven in Tynemouth Northumberland in 1848.

Thinking of my 2nd great grandfather Edward Lever. As captain of the Eblana in the UK Merchant Navy, he and all hands were once rescued from their sinking vessel in 1878 in the Bay of Biscay only to be lost at sea in a storm in 1881.
Today is Plimsoll Day, an annual celebration of the life of social reformer and MP Samuel Plimsoll (born #OTD 1824), and his radical campaign to improve ship safety and protect seafarers' lives.

They have very openly stated that they intend to use all of this AI to do state surveillance.
