Well done! Circling back periodically to graze again can be so productive. Last week I learned of a first son from one of my mother’s Merseyside lines who died at 7 mos. We did not know about him. Family Search FT had added some cemetery registers since I last looked.

My dad hung onto a well worn newspaper cutting from the early 1900’s with a poem about babies who had passed away being flowers in God’s garden or some such. His grandfather carried to be reminded of a young son who died. So yes, they cared deeply but got on with life because they had to.
