This was always about tariffs and damage limitation. Starmer did well. He gave very little away and got some wins.

He is also going to get a comprehensive trade deal with the EU.

Another thing to remember:

When interest rates were rock bottom. The Tories chose austerity rather than borrow to invest in our country and its services. Then when interest rates were the highest those chose to borrow. Labour have inherited their debt costs. Never forget.
