Early in my career, I had a graduate student with cerebral palsey wheelchair bound. We scheduled a 1st meeting to which she was 40 min late. When she arrived, she described being stuck in a broken sidewalk area unmarked > 30 min while no one would help her get out. She apologized for being late.
