It's not a woman. It's a stylized armored breastplate called a cuirass w/ a raised pectoral shape. Artists often exaggerated shapes for ornamentation. There is no other detail in there to suggest Balthazar is a woman. Headgear and earrings on males was normal. He's younger than the other magi.
Okay serious question for art historian types: Is that Balthazar as an armoured warrior queen?
Because i was unaware of this tradition and, if so, I require a bloody six part drama about her rise to power.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

In a great nation, Black people wouldn't be killed by the police at three times the rate. Black pregnant women wouldn't die at three times the rate. Black children wouldn't be over three times as likely to attend underfunded schools.

Taylor Lorenz has hated me since I pointed out her journalistic malpractice in pushing the "chili neighbor" narrative that eventually drove chinchillazilla off the internet forever and then weirdly copied my tweet about it for some reason

I’m gonna say something really nasty about you and your little klan trash buddies that think Black people need to shut up about the fact the Leo Frank tried to invoke the fundamental antiblackness of Jim Crow in his defense and scapegoat a Black person. You’re lucky this is Bluesky.

Leo Frank tried to pin that murder on a Black man and his defense was racist as hell. There definitely is some Nazi shit going on and it’s not Mary. A bunch of ⚪️s are mad that Black people don’t appreciate racist false accusations during Jim Crow.

Lydia, don’t lie on Black people, you ignorant pos. The KKK was a virulent ANTIBLACK organization whose main victims were Black. Maybe you should read up how Leo Frank used a racist defense to try and pin the murder on a Black man. Gee I wonder why Black people would have a problem with that.
