In 1942, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, authorizing Japanese internment camps during World War II. One act of courage was exemplified by 315 Japanese-American men that stood up to the draft, refusing to fight for the US when their own constitutional rights were being denied. (1/2)

I am very proud of the organizations and community leaders that have worked very hard with Senator @senadorajulie.bsky.social and Senator @imanforcolorado.bsky.social to pass this Resolution.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

And studies after studies have found that immigrants and refugees are much less likely to commit crimes compared to US citizens.

Anyone who ever again suggests that the GOP is the party of the police or the party of law and order should be laughed out of the room. There has never been anything like this before in modern US history: the president pardoning people who we all saw on live TV assaulting police.

I have a hard time believing in religion when I just had an argument with a so-called "Christian" about why we should not demonize immigrants and refugees.

Christmas was only several weeks ago. How can they blatantly ignore the teachings of their God?

Regardless of how you feel about the shooter, this is an example of a ridiculous criminal prosecution. Many victim advocates can tell you that a statement like this (without any associated conducts) is not even enough for a protection order.
A Florida woman was charged Tuesday after police said she ended a call with BlueCross BlueShield with the words, “Delay, Deny, Depose. You people are next.”

She was charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, and her bond was set at $100,000.
