Pritzker: The question I ask is: if you’re willing to hand the keys to Europe over to Putin, what’s next? How does the US retain its leadership in the world when he’s essentially retreating to our own borders? He’s even made enemies of the Canadians—I can’t imagine anything more telling than that.

I'm so tired of Trump's face, his voice, his ridiculous words, his nutty cabinet members, his awful voters, his imploding country. This 24/7 rolling atrocity of a presidency that poisons the entire world.

This is a double betrayal. A broken promise from the Conservatives followed by a shameful cop out from Labour.

First, ripping away what was promised to communities and then using the day of Trump’s inauguration in a shoddy attempt to bury the bad news shows an outrageous disregard for patients.

Fantastic! German translator loses it live on tv during Trump’s rambling and shouts out in desperation:

“How long do you guys wanna stay with this shit?” 🤣

The (unloved) Brexit consensus across the Westminster parties is wobbling. Why Ed Davey's speech calling for a UK/EU customs union is a big moment.

Happy birthday to my incredible ward colleague Cllr Julie van Mierlo.

Casework, campaigning, speaking at council, putting forward a brilliant WASPI motion, drinking at conference…she bossed every single element of it.

All while still working as a local nurse as well.

We don't defeat populists by calling out their lies. We tried that. Facts are complicated, and the audience for populism wants simplicity. It won't work.

We defeat populists by enacting bold political ideas that improve lives for the disenfranchised, and make the world seem less grotesquely unfair.

A planning application has been submitted to change the former newsagents on Broadway to a pizza takeaway. The proposed opening times are 16:30 to 22:30. Please view and comment using the planning portal. I can't see anything about signage in the application.

My ward colleague, & local nurse Julie van Mierlo, had already put a motion to Preston Council for this Thursday on WASPI women before today’s disgraceful decision by the Labour Govt

We will continue to campaign for WASPI women as Labour abandons them

I have been off all social media and podcasts since the Trump win as I just couldn't face listening to any of the commentary. Now back and amazed by how many new followers I have on here. Thank you! Now very much back in action delivering surveys and doing casework for my community. #prestonlibdems
