so happy to *officially* share that I have been awarded an APSA DDRIG this year! I'm thrilled and honored to be a part of this cohort and very excited to get started on some field work in the UK soon.
I often consider deleting my Facebook, which I don't use much anymore. But how else will I know that on this day 17 years ago I posted that I "thought Twilight was fun :)"? The time capsule-ish nature of the Memories function is invaluable to me.

I’m just a small-town political scientist, & it’s still relatively early, but it appears that The Actual Democrats did not Need To Do any of the Things or Learn any of the Obvious Lessons that Ezra Douthglesias said they Must Do & Learn.

Earle-Sears ran what felt like 12 billion ads about how much she hated trans kids and I didn’t hear a single pundit say she should stick to real issues that affect real people.

A seeming bit of history tonight as Ghazala Hashmi becomes the first Asian American to win statewide office in Virginia - and the first Muslim woman to win statewide office *anywhere* in the United States.

"“We all know better. You have to have consent for this,” said a Keck physician who...declined to be identified out of fear of losing their job, said the Navy facility “wasn’t designed or developed to save lives. It was just to desensitize people to the trauma.”"

i was a contractor with the Dept of State during this. It sucked. I, like many others, never got backpay. Many of the people most affected are people who can't afford to lose a day, a week, a month of pay. It's not the bureaucrats. It's the contractors who clean and maintain the facilities.

Plaid Cymru and Reform are diametrically opposed both on the national question and on the left-right axis and it is no wonder therefore that as Labour and Tory support collapses voters are polarising to the extremes ✍️Jonathan Edwards wp.me/p8Mk4U-16e9
