if anyone is looking for a book rec in this realm in the meantime, I just read The Bombshell by Darrow Farr for my book club and it was good.
I kinda hope that new Supergirl movie breaks this incredibly annoying spell that the only way to write a female main character is if they’re some bland girlboss, because there is a clear appetite for girl dirtbags and girlfailures
