Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.

Tonight's reminder that fewer than 10 people can end the worst of all of this immediately, simply by caucusing with Democrats & giving them control of both chambers of Congress. Absolute Profiles in Cowardice.

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

More than 200,000 Danish citizens have signed a petition to buy California as a response to Trump’s attempt to take Greenland.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

If President Trump ordered the annexation of Greenland, it would end NATO. He would be destroying the system that has reinforced American security for 80 years—and all for a vanity project, as I told @katiecouric.bsky.social

The U.S. does not need to annex Greenland to protect its security or economic interests. Doing so would weaken NATO, alienate us from Europe, and hand advantages to our adversaries. Read more in my latest Substack: michaelmcfaul.substack.com/p/invading-g...

I mean, sure, if there was a war and they snuck up on some soldiers by adopting the trappings of civil aviation, you might call it a war crime. But since there wasn’t one and they snuck up on some civilians who were probably fishermen and at worst drug dealers, it’s just fuckin murder.
Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

So when authorities say “she tried to run over an officer,” that is not a neutral description. It is a claim of intent that can be used to justify lethal force after the fact.

When the state kills first and invents the threat afterward, it is not policing, it is death squad behavior. /end
