Last Friday, I had the opportunity to speak at the Despatch Box during UKYP’s Annual House of Commons sitting, concluding the debate on political literacy.

This is one of my proudest moments. I hope you enjoy it. youtu.be/K-r1Zi4fnkk?si=GegSQyJ4Hx-oQyjN

Use the same name (if it's available)
Use the same PFP
Fill out your bio!

This is the best way to get others, esp journalists/politicians to join. It’s not necessarily ideological, it’s practical: a far better social media experience/way more useful for work.
Another thing I appreciate about BlueSky: Links to news stories don’t appear to be throttled like they are on other social media.

This is entirely true. A lot of the high value posters have moved here, people who intelligently discuss important topics, report on news that major media outlets are often so slow on, and whats more... the trolls, hate comments, and slurs are a tiny fraction of what they are on Elon's twitter.
Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

He will be remembered for his long service to the people of Kingston-upon-Hull, dedication to his party, and an authenticity that's not always found in politics.

Our thoughts are with his family.
