Fully engaged with the Great Circle second time around and walking around Gizeh never gets old.

A really sobering thread.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Stopped the younger gang in the office today pointing out that not everyone goes through life having even movements where they are or feel, 'hot.' That's a club where some memberships get lost in the post. 😂

This comes from a good place and it's not entirely unsuccessful. (I think the idea is a good one). Sadly, it's not really frightening and rather overplays it's hand too early. Indy is great, heis his acting partner, not so much, and I felt the connection between dog and owner. #GoodBoy

Only 10 mins in, and the central conceit of this has been spoiled for me, but how this has been filmed is really impressive.

All the best to @sohohorrorfest.bsky.social If there are any tickets left check this out for the weekend.
That’s a positive to us!!
Ngl, I preferred the ‘Whirled Cinema’ branding. Given the location and exterior it now unfortunately gives the vague impression of being an adult cinema club from the 60s/70s if you didn’t know any different. Maybe that’s what they were going for. Nonetheless, I’m here!

James Morrison in my local Rough Trade for a gig/signing apparently. Looks like a friendly chap, an average guy down the pub. Average age of his queue, maybe 50s?

Sad times. Popped into the ancient (and unloved) Odeon cinema on Union St, Bristol, to find out when the new Cabot Circus opening is due. As early as February apparently.

Sadly, the cool staff confirmed that Union St would be closing. This is the cinema that I saw Return of the Jedi in, 1983.

Playing this now and it's fair to say that I never saw this coming. An amusing diversion but reminds me, I also need to start Baby Steps for the really weird.
"Thank Goodness You're Here" on PS+ Extra this month, and it fantastic. I don't think I've seen anything that so affectionately takes the piss. It's a beauty.
