If you’re doing political action today, it should be accessible to disability communities.

Y’all wearing n95s? Did you arrange transport for folks who can’t drive? Factor in assistive devices when planning?

There is no justice without disability justice. No revolution without disabled folks.

Witness a baby star! This Hubble infrared image captures protostar J1672835.29-763111.64 in Chamaeleon. Protostars shine from collapsing gas & dust, eventually igniting into stars. Leftovers can form planets!

Right now, unknown numbers of LGBTQI+ people are being held in immigration detention in the UK. We've joined Rainbow Migration's campaign to call for an end to LGBTQI+ detention and a 28-day time limit for all immigration detention and so can you.

Being disabled is far more like a job than it is a vacation.

You work to accommodate your chronic illness 24/7. There’s no breaks. There’s no days off. There’s no one you can complain to if things become too much.

You’re fighting ableism, the healthcare system AND your body all at once.

It has been a month since any aid entered Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel has announced its intention to seize large areas of Palestinian territory.

Our government's response? To continue to allow the supply of arms to Israel.

Today I asked if the UK government will finally name the Israeli government's actions in Gaza for what they are: genocide. While atrocities continue, silence is complicity - and we have a moral duty to do everything we can to end the suffering of Palestinians.

It has been more than a month since we pointed out that the government was contradicting itself over its denial of genocide in Gaza.

We have still not received a response.

We know why: the government wants to hide its complicity in one of the greatest crimes of our time.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary say there is no genocide in Gaza.

It is now clear this contradicts the government's own "long-standing policy" outlined below. When will they retract their denial of genocide?

No Other Land depicts the horrifying violence Palestinians in the West Bank endure under apartheid.

Yesterday, its co-director Hamdan Ballal was beaten in his home by settlers before being detained by Israeli forces.

DWP is using a sleight of hand in its disability benefit cuts impact assessment: Actual increase in poverty is closer to 400,000, not the 250,000 in the impact assessment.

Quick thread explaining why. 🧵1/7

Choosing to cut support for disabled people, knowing that many already live in poverty, and that being disabled means that life almost always COSTS MORE - that's a political choice
