Happy Friday!

The May Day protests were awesome.🔥

Folks from all walks of life showed up—united by the basics: protecting human dignity, defending essential programs like Medicaid, and resisting this regime’s reckless, cruel abuses of power.

Let’s keep up the pressure.
May Day demonstrations in US and around the globe protest Trump agenda
Hundreds of thousands of people rallied in U.S. cities and around the globe for International Workers’ Day or May Day, with the focus this year on President Donald Trump’s agenda.

It is essential that these operations remain on the air.

This is terrible.
My god. A Columbia senior just revealed during Rep. Ro Khanna’s Town Hall that the Trump Administration has canceled over $400 million in federal research to fight cancer and Parkinson’s disease. This is absolutely insane.

“The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff.”
One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

Musk staffers briefly published a list of 440 properties it planned to sell, deeming them “not core to government operations.” However, the list was removed after officials were alerted that it included a complex housing a CIA facility—often referred to as the “worst-kept secret in Springfield.”

I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road.

NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B.

A new government tracker claims DOGE has saved billions from ending federal contracts. But an NPR analysis of the data finds the claimed savings don't add up.
