I think for some people, it's hard for them to grasp why video games mean so much to many of us.
They gave those of us who never won, a way to win. They gave those of us with no control in our lives, something that we COULD control.
And that comfort saved me during a lonely and isolated childhood.

I do think us millennials who wanted to purse non-evil career paths have the right to be a little salty right now
It is not good for society to have a generation of people like us whose career ambitions have been either stymied by economic disaster or actively trod on by our political system.

Youtube is at it again with their adblock war BS. PSA to all, absolutely nowhere in Youtube's terms of service does it even mention adblockers, so you are in fact allowed to use them. And considering more than half the "content" these days is ads, you are encouraged to use them.

It’s so interesting to see these urgent exhortations to reestablish decorum. I have not seen evidence of a “coarsening” of American society. If anything, the opposite: I’ve seen thousands of individuals asserting their humanity and protesting the indignity of the system UHC profits from.

The fact that the shooter managed to foil the supposedly inescapable view of the AI-enhanced surveillance state is a good reminder that the panopticon isn't really all-seeing, it's just a performance of being all-seeing.

"I want a lawyer" is all you should say—IF ANYTHING.
Do not say "I want a lawyer, dawg" because a court found that a person who had said "Just give me a lawyer, dawg" had not invoked their right to counsel. It was too vague. Maybe he was asking for an actual lawyer dog—a dog that practices law.
