This graph says it all. Induced demand is real, and the reverse is also true: if we don't expand highway capacity, people make choices other than sitting in worsening traffic jams. $10B for transit instead, please.

She's against congestion pricing. That tells me all I need to know about who she will represent. Like Murphy, she cares more about her wealthy donors who can drive into NYC from Bergen county than working people everywhere in NJ who take transit.
