We’re launching the Earth Rover Program - trying to make geophysics actually usable for farmers. That means tackling the ridiculous price of equipment and opening up a global, easy-to-use dataset so anyone, anywhere around the globe, can understand what’s happening under their feet.
1. Some good news at last. This week’s column is about the amazing thing a couple of us stumbled into three years ago, which we’ve now developed into a global research programme. It doesn’t change everything, of course, but it could help change quite a lot. + 🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

This is going to become a very big issue because Covid infections cause immune dysregulation. Large swathes of population are latent TB carriers and when immune damage occurs this opens a gateway.
'Tuberculosis is an infection caused by bacteria. It mainly affects the lungs, but it can affect any part of the body, including lymph glands, bones and the brain, causing meningitis. It is spread when a person with TB in their lungs or throat coughs or sneezes.'

Anyone over age 11 can get a Covid vaccine (& the one they pay for is the latest, most useful version!).

It isn't smart to restrict the availability of free Covid vaccine though, & it seems ridiculous to me to give last year's version to the most vulnerable (also done in previous years).
