In CHARLESTON, SC, where “the slave market” was a prominent economic feature.
Where the African-American Museum is located today.
The more I think about this, the louder the screaming inside my head becomes.

i'm not saying all ICE/CBP agents are pedophiles. i *am* saying if i was a pedophile, the absolute first place i'd try to get a job at right now would be ICE/CBP

So… they’ve decided to continue funding research and they’re shelving the idea of creating a new wildfire agency.

This fine southern gentleman, Rex Mann, died this week. He was a leader within US Forest Service as a forester but especially in wildland fire. In retirement he championed restoration of American chestnut.
This Ted talk is lovely & captures my love of being a forester.

One of many ways an #AltCitizen can #Resist the public lands fire sale.

Protest! Chant! Annoy! Embarrass!

Thank you Santa Fe for doing all four, and more, while the Secretary of Interior was in town for a meeting.

That must’ve been quite a scene!

And thank you @abigmac.bsky.social for sharing ☺️
Fantastic crowd in Santa Fe to #ProtectPublicLands

The crowd chanted at the hotel where Secretary Burgum and others were meeting for over an hour.

Holy cow. Just played around with Meta AI. This is WILD. I am crafting a message for a local foundation-owned forest that the public has access to. Thought “let’s see what AI has to say.” Read the last couple of screenshots, especially!!!

Civilians are now cheering and yelling when ICE fires upon them. They’re treating the tear gas, smoke bombs and pepper grenades like fireworks. This is actually hilarious mocking of ICE.

I’m not going to bore everyone here with Harvard stories (I’m at my 25yr reunion). But:
* “They” say it’s the most well attended reunion.
* The level of “fuck Trump” here is off the charts.
* Even the Republicans I knew in college are like “fuck Trump.”

A new report from this research sheds light on the dynamics of fire management, emphasizing the importance of prescribed burns and fuel management in mitigating wildfire threats.
