Comforting to see the wide array of negative reactions triggered by NOW YOU SEE ME, a movie so thoughtless that I get mad just thinking about it years later
its inexplicable success and sequels makes me feel totally alienated from other moviegoers. a lot of people have said similar things about movies like Avatar but avatar makes a thousand times more sense than Now You See Me
I’m watching NOW YOU SEE ME and it’s by no means the worst movie I’ve ever seen but I did just have a thought I don’t think I’ve ever had while watching a movie which was “wait, what if I actually don’t like movies”

This is the heart of the NCAA expansion issue. It, under no circumstances, will allow for more mid majors into the tournament. It'll just allow more middling P-4 teams to disappoint in the first weekend. Glad the greatest post-season in sports remains the same for at least one more year
I'd argue Ken and John's powwow still lacks a convincing argument to expand. What's more, claiming the reg season would be more meaningful doesn't track based on viewership/readership behavior the past 25 yrs. Sports fans won't be drawn in by power-conf teams w/ 12+ losses by mid-February. No shot.
