This is where it is going. This is what Stephen Miller is pushing to Trump. The only reason it has not happened yet is that the violence is obviously coming from state actors. There is no insurrection to control. But we are one incident away from Trump sending in the military.

The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

seems kind of weird that the vice president of the united states is openly supportive of german neo-nazis!
Not only is he going out of his way to strengthen the European far right, that claim about the Berlin Wall is beyond absurd.

This is a broad strategic alignment away from the liberal democracies toward the global right.

As the Trump administration blatantly disregards a judicial order, and as the President brazenly figures himself *as* the law, this letter has proved prescient. Thankful that some of my professors, Professor Eichner among them, are calling on lawyers in the academy and beyond to meet the moment.
628 law professors have signed this statement warning that we are seeing "the gravest threat to the rule of law . . . ever presented in our lifetimes." Complete list of signers at docs.google.com/document/d/1...
