Wrote about how four years of “Fund the Police!” did zero for the Democrats except legitimize GOP talking points, depress Dem voter turnout, hand Trump a well-funded police state, and make the world a crueler, more violent place. An abject failure. theappeal.org/fund-the-pol...
‘Fund the Police’ Backfired—and Gave Trump More Power Than Ever
Democrats spent the last four years running away from police reform and instead chanted "fund the police." They lost.

Congressional republicans have been spewing racist attacks on Mamdani for weeks and it’s almost never mentioned in our media. Not only that, the person leading the hate campaign—Randy Fine—is treated by the same media as a good faith expert on antisemitism. I wrote about this obscene double standard
Why is Mainstream Media Ignoring Overtly Racist Attacks on Mamdani from Congressional Republicans?
Non-stop Islamopbohic vitriol, threats of deportation, and virtually no coverage from CNN, NBC, CBS, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal or The Washington Post.

Just a heads-up, the last version of @theappeal.org that existed is no more. Some folks seem to be doing some new stuff with the IP, but me and most of the remaining staff are gone. Not sure what their plans are but leaving that to them to explain.

Feels like focusing on criminal records kinda misses the point, which is just that the administration wants to do ethnic cleansing
Trump officials have described the men deported to El Salvador prisons as “the worst of the worst.”

The reality is that of 238 migrants accused of belonging to the Tren de Aragua gang, just a small fraction had ever been charged with serious crimes
About 90% of Migrants Deported to El Salvador Had No US Criminal Record
Trump administration officials have described the men deported to El Salvador prisons last month as “the worst of the worst,” suggesting they were gang members involved in murder, rape and kidnapping.

Check r/buyitforlife, buying stuff that lasts instead of the cheapest thing you can find on Amazon/at Marshall's is best practices regardless of this really is the end of American economic hegemony.
To be clear, I am not an economist lol, but if you want to feel proactive, I would ask yourself, "what can I go buy right now that I might need that will last for multiple years?" Clothes, electronics, any foreign-made goods, etc. And also ask, "what debt can I pay off?"
