Just a heads-up, the last version of @theappeal.org that existed is no more. Some folks seem to be doing some new stuff with the IP, but me and most of the remaining staff are gone. Not sure what their plans are but leaving that to them to explain.

Check r/buyitforlife, buying stuff that lasts instead of the cheapest thing you can find on Amazon/at Marshall's is best practices regardless of this really is the end of American economic hegemony.
To be clear, I am not an economist lol, but if you want to feel proactive, I would ask yourself, "what can I go buy right now that I might need that will last for multiple years?" Clothes, electronics, any foreign-made goods, etc. And also ask, "what debt can I pay off?"

I figured he’d know to at least get up on a podium with the disrgraced great-grandson of like, BF Goodrich & announce some harebrained Operation Smokestack Freedom to build new factories. But the plan is just to make everything expensive & assume people will figure it out
