Not a Knicks fan but can sympathize. It’s really getting ridiculous
Knicks are playing. Let me check all six apps they might be on to find the game.

Cheo’s grandson finally reached AAA last season after being drafted in the 3rd round back in 2020 and was recently added to Detroit’s 40-man roster

Trei Cruz grew up the son of a Gold Glove outfielder and grandson of an Astros Hall of Famer. But the do-everything Tigers prospect has forged his own path towards potentially becoming a third-generation Major Leaguer next season. That path hasn't been easy.

Cruz one step away from being third-generation big leaguer
Trei Cruz had just finished a workout last week and was headed back home when his phone started buzzing. The call was from Tigers vice president Ryan Garko, who in his role overseeing player developme...

Between the Urías DFA and the Dubie dump (for Nick Allen), cost savings were achieved. Beyond that???

I’ve read many of these articles over the years and quite frankly they’re often wrong. Having said that, BA’s preliminary list includes Houston’s Alimber Santa as one of the 13 players likely to be targeted by other organizations in the Rule 5 given the Astros chose not to protect him yesterday

Pedro León didn’t last long on the O’s 40-man roster
The Orioles have selected the contracts of RHP Cameron Foster and OF Reed Trimble from Triple-A Norfolk, adding them to the 40-man roster.

This protects Foster and Trimble from the Rule 5 Draft.

To make room, OF Pedro León and INF Luis Vázquez were designated for assignment.

Still looking for more comments on this…
Red Sox need a corner infielder and Astros need an outfielder (preferably lefty-hitting).

Sets up for a swap of Isaac Paredes for Jarren Duran.

Astros can put Duran in CF which then makes Jake Meyers expendable.

Thoughts?

Higher ranked Astros prospects needing protection from the Rule 5 draft. Deadline to be added to the roster is this Tuesday. With the Astros 40 man roster completely full, offsetting moves would be necessary to add any of these guys

Interesting comments re the ABS Challenge System going into effect next season
This minor league LHH challenged an enormous # of outside pitches, almost all to no avail

Itll be exciting to see how MLB batters are going to challenge (if even allowed to by their club)

If its me: only allow it for best batter on the team, or any on a potential K/BB flip. Otherwise, catcher-only

Not to mention the fact this man is worth half a billion dollars. That $910K was chump change for him.

The sickness in these people is unreal
NYT: “.. Through that structure, Mr. Bessent avoided paying roughly $910,000 in Medicare taxes on money he made running his hedge fund in 2021, 2022 and 2023 ..”
