This is such whiny bullshit from McVay. Is he suggesting that a lateral should only count as a lateral if the QB "intends" it to be one? How does that improve the game? In what world is giving refs responsibility for making a subjective call like a good idea?

I don't think you can prevent what we're seeing with Kiffin/LSU/Ole Miss with better contracts or tweaks to the calendar.
I think we need a sense of professional honor, and failing that, *shame*, to actually set standards of acceptable behavior for coaches and admins
