Buddy Kennedy not looking much like an outfielder, lol

I know Marchan gives you more at the plate, but Stubbs is a really underrated defensive catcher...

Obviously not a lot to like about this presidency, but Trump getting spanked back and forth by Canada and Mexico is something I find enjoyable
Breaking news: Mexico will be granted a monthlong reprieve on tariffs on goods that fall under an existing free-trade agreement with the United States, President Donald Trump said Thursday after a conversation with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Less than two days later, this woman voted to censure Al Green.

Deplorable.
I will always applaud American success. But I will not clap for the gaslighting we experienced tonight. #JointSession

I'm sure the logic here was to tap into the easily malleable brain-rot podcast bros that lick the skin between Kirk's toes, but it's the absolute worst strategy for the moment

The best-case scenario here is... what? You gain their trust and hoodwink them?

Fire whatever strategist came up with this
I will be voting for a candidate in the Democratic primary who doesn’t promote Charlie Kirk.
March 6, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Hello @houlahan.house.gov

I think there may have been a mistake with your vote to censure @algreen.house.gov today. It appears you voted yes?

Just wanted to call this out so you could have it corrected, since that would be a real pigeonhearted thing to do!

Can you imagine the discourse for the next year if Joe Biden had confused the words TRANSGENIC and TRANSGENDER?

It would be a nonstop story on Fox News. They're STILL talking about Hunter Biden's laptop.

Trump's brain is mush.

I feel like conflating “Republican” ideologies with “MAGA” ones does a disservice when we’re trying to illustrate the extremism. I see MAGA as more of a parasite on that party than the party itself.

It’s abusing its host without truly becoming it, killing it in the process
Extending the Trump tax cuts for the next 10 years would add roughly $4 trillion to the deficit.

Remember this the next time Republicans try paying for them with cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

The "party of fiscal responsibility" is full of it.

It just occurred to me that not everyone is like this and it’s probably part of the reason I’m so angry all the time
i need less decorum and more “home game in philadelphia” when it comes to the energy in the room.

I keep seeing stuff like this and yet...

*gestures wildly*

We're doing... nothing?
I don't think there's precedent for this level of open corruption at the federal level, certainly not in the last 100+ years.

SCOOP: Business leaders are paying as much as $5,000,000 to meet one-on-one with President Donald Trump at his Florida compound, sources tell WIRED, while others are paying $1,000,000 apiece to dine with him in a group setting.

Respectfully, @whitehouse.senate.gov, what is the plan to combat this? Bleed us dry through the midterms? (Assuming there are free and fair midterms?)
Whitehouse: "I see the VP and the president acting very directly as agents of Putin and Russia in these so-called negotiations. Imagine if FDR had told Winston Churchill, 'We're cutting off Lend-Lease, you have to negotiate with Hitler, and be prepared to give up some of your territory.'"
March 4, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Every day there's a new totally corrupt, totally illegal thing. Do we really have NO CONSTITUTIONAL RECOURSE to remove a figure like this from office? We're just supposed to sit back and take it?

Garrett had an .839 OPS vs. LHP in 2023. Missed most of last season after fracturing his fibula before promptly returning to smash the Phillies.

Not sure he even makes it around to the Phillies, but it feels like you can do worse than Garrett as a 5th outfielder while you're waiting for Wilson

Would certainly like to see Marsh use the whole field more, especially against lefties. Let a fastball get deep in the zone and drove it to left-center against Rodon.

Oh, man. This is a lineup.

Schwarber at 1B. Sosa in LF. Arroyo at 3B.

Totally understand that people are human and shit happens, but, generally speaking... You'd better have a great reason to miss a vote — especially these days.
House Democrats typically miss more votes than Republicans do, making it a bit easier for the GOP—with its narrow majority—to prevail on contentious votes.
Party Leaders Order Lawmakers: Make Sure to Show Up!
Almost all Democrats made it to Tuesday’s budget vote, but that has been the exception.

Any legitimate news organization that doesn't immediately tell the White House to get fucked is complicit in the push for a state driven media.

Cover the White House like it should be covered. You don't need to be in the room with Karoline Leavitt for that.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announces that the White House Correspondents' Association will no longer choose the pool reporter.

"Moving forward, the White House press pool will be determined by the White House press team."

Assuming health, there really aren't many "breakout" opportunities for the Phillies. The bullpen feels like the best chance, imo.

Apropos of one spring game, John McMillon looks like a dude poised for a breakout, at least "stuff"-wise — if healthy.

Painter will be up at some point, in some role.
Here are my MLB breakout picks for this season—one for every team, tiered by confidence level. As always: you will not find top prospects, former Rookie of the Year Award winners, or any of that nonsense on here. This is for the sickos: www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb...

Modern lineup construction overwhelmingly supports batting your best hitter second, so Harper's (apparent) hesitation is surprising to me

I don't mind Schwarber / Harper back-to-back, even against LHP. I do understand not wanting to create a scenario where Schwarber doesn't hit in the first inning

Kudos to Governor Mills.

There isn't a SINGLE OTHER GOVERNOR in that room who has the balls to stand up and join her in the defense?
TRUMP: The NCAA has complied immediately. That's good. But I understand Maine -- is the governor of Maine here?

JANET MILLS: Yeah I'm here

TRUMP: Are you not gonna comply?

JM: I'm going to comply with state and federal law

T: You better do it bc you're not gonna get any federal funding at all
