The tariff saga and its impact on disabled people cannot be separated from the administration’s brutal cuts to Medicaid.

If you're trying to figure out what to do right now, my advice is to just pick a thing that you think might be useful in some way, however small, and do it. Doing a thing leads you to doing another, bigger thing, and prepares you for that next thing.

2. Please ask your friends and family in other states to do the same, because it will help our Senators increase their number of allies in the Senate. /2

The problem with Elon is we can't fire him because we never hired him.

And we can't impeach him because we never put him in office.

But the DC police can arrest him as a private citizen for trespassing next time he barges into federal offices without legit authorization.

The catch-22 is that states try to cap premiums to protect their residents. When they do so, they distort the economics that have changed as a result of climate change, leading to them no longer offering coverage.

This is an area the Dems can own by focusing on insurance destruction and inflation
So insurers talk publicly about the cost of climate change, the cost to them, and ultimately their customers; while our government will not. The customers of our government are its citizens. They deserve and should demand to be informed first and then protected.

The facts are, the ACA saved millions with pre-existing conditions and set standards for care.

But now, more than a decade later, with what we now know, it’s time to take the insurance companies out of the mix.
The subsidies they get are enormous. We don’t need them as middlemen.
