The Secretary of Homeland Security just said the feds are there to remove democratically elected officials in California and then had a Senator detained. Why is that not in every headline? It's what happened.
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Yes. This aligns with my experience of my MAGA family: their ideology is more important to them than ANY human connection.
Every time I confronted my MAGA relatives during Trump 1 with some grotesque un-American policy of his (e.g. child separation at the border), they chose Trump & cut ties to me.

Fascinating paper on where 6000 global elites went to college. Billionaires, CEOs, heads of state, central bankers, etc.

In a word: Harvard.

Fully 10% of global elites went to Harvard. Elite US schools are over-represented (23% IvyPlus), but nobody comes close to Harvard.

I don't think it's a generation/age issue primarily, it's that Dem strategists are drawn from a very narrow (elite-college-educated, loved politics from like age 12) pool, and then get socialized/trained by senior strategists.
