A game, with the following rules text (1/2): Hello. My name is coffee. This is an anti-game called PALADIN. Here is how you play – you will need nine six-sided dice (d6), something to write with, and something with which to store notes. Upon finishing this anti-game, burn this document. For the entire time you are playing PALADIN, you cannot look at or otherwise attempt to procure a new copy of this game. Internalize all of the rules - write them down, if you must. But burn this game. In PALADIN, you are lost amidst the kingdom of Carbaros. It is a snowy waste, sparsely populated, and filled with ghosts. You are a PALADIN, a scribe-saint. You have a governing philosophy, something that you carry inside your head no matter what: The Kingdom Will Live Again With My Words. Here is how you play PALADIN. As a scribe-saint, your job is to not only record the comings and goings of the villages of Carberos, but also to travel to each village on foot. At the beginning of each round of PALADIN, roll nine d6. If you rolled at least six sixes, you find a suitable place to write down what you encountered during your travels. Otherwise, you do not find anything and begin a new round of PALADIN. If you encounter a village, roll nine d6. If you rolled at least six sixes, you encountered a village while travelling. Otherwise, you found shelter amidst another dirt hill piled amongst trash. Do not write anything down. Rules text (2/2): Then, roll nine d6. If you rolled at least six sixes, then there were at most nine people in the village you talked to. Otherwise, it was unpopulated, abandoned, or destroyed by disease – do not write anything down. If there are people in the village, roll nine d6. If you rolled at least six sixes, the people there are actually alive and not phantom apparitions conjured by your brain. Otherwise, you are annoyed by the trickery of the ghosts – do not write anything down. If the people in the village are alive, roll nine d6. If you rolled at least six sixes, the people in the village will talk to you instead of attacking you with stones and farm implements. Otherwise, you are chased out of the village – do not write anything down. Once you have written six entries, you find the King of your Kingdom and deliver him your works. At that time, the King will name you. Then, end the game.

If you design your own covers, keep an eye out for sales on itch of font packs (I know, itch has its issues that remain unresolved).

I’ve gotten several for cheap and it’s amazing to have access to cool fonts people haven’t seen before. It can help your covers stand out a bit.
