Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.

He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:

A VERY good read. I have mostly been a consumer of BlueSky rather than a contributor, but I've likely been exacerbating many of the issues that Dr. Shattuck mentions in this SubStack with a lot of the stuff that I share and will try to do better.
3 Resistance Messages That Backfire — and What to Say Instead
Authoritarians thrive when resistance runs on alarm alone. Fear, outrage, and sweeping calls spread fast but leave people drained — here’s how to write and read for the long game.

S-l-o-w-l-y, Trump voters are realizing Trump lied to them about- EVERYTHING.
It’s NOT beyond Trump to start a war to refocus attention from the (still unreleased) #EpsteinFiles after Elon Musk reminded MAGA that Trump’s name is all over them (and stop coverage of the massive #NoKingsDay protest)

I'm so old, I remember when Republicans used to hyperventilate about a menacing federal government consisting of "jackbooted thugs." It turns out it wasn't a principled hatred of "jackbooted thugs" they were expressing, it was just jealousy that THEY weren't the ones in the jackboots.

You have it—and yet some of you want to 'research' your way back to the 1800s.

I attended the Peoples' March in Portland, Maine yesterday. Made 350 or so images. Posted those all on Meta, but I'm not sure how many I can post here on BlueSky so this is an experiment to see how viable this platform is for my Bardtography work. :)

PURE POLITICAL THEATER.
How many grateful TikTok folks will now believe the fiction that Trump has ALWAYS loved TikTok of course and be thankful to him for saving their platform COMPLETELY forgetting that it was Trump who first suggested banning it?

In the end Trump got away with everything (except the crimes and civil violations he committed in New York). And I don't blame Jack Smith. He did his job. I 100 percent blame Merrick Garland, who frittered away two full years and let Trump walk for stealing classified documents and fomenting a coup.
Yes, Jack Smith resigning was expected, but it still feels like justice has left the building.
I had such high hopes for trump and cabal to be held to account. 🤬😣 www.nbcnews.com/politics/jus...

And the public deserves to see the product of his work and that of his team. Before Trump can follow through on his promise to bury it.
