Enough is enough. Contact your Democratic senators TODAY and tell them to call for Senator Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader. We desperately need new leadership in the Democratic Party.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

I stopped listening to Bill Gates years ago. You should stop too.

Instead, I would listen to *real* experts who know about *real* climate solutions — not tech fantasies.

You would then quickly see how these solutions can improve lives and help vulnerable communities thrive across the world.
Is it possible to ease human suffering, protect nature, and address climate change? Yes, says a team of int'l experts led by Drawdown and Sr. Scientist, Paul West. To find out how, read the commentary: https://bit.ly/4nXIc7

One thing that’s been wild about Mamdani’s candidacy is that so many liberals are now seeing what the MENA and Muslim population have had to live with our entire lives. That even other minorities can turn to Islamophobia and racism, that even the most liberal yt folks do too. As he said, (con)

There’s about a million reasons to not buy from Amazon but hers one more.
Amazon's plan to replace 600,000 workers with AI and robots could save it $10 billion on top of billions more in tax breaks.

Today, I demanded answers from Jeff Bezos: Will you simply dump these workers out on the street, or will you treat them with the dignity they deserve?
US Senator Sanders challenges Bezos, Amazon on automation's job impacts
"If Amazon succeeds on its massive automation plan, it will have a profound impact on blue-collar workers."

My latest HNE blog post. People have a need to share their climate experience and through that sharing we can build connection and take collective action.
At Sayward-Wheeler House in York, ME, flood lines marked in colored flags sparked conversations about storms, sea level rise, and resilience. HNE's Director of Sustainability @joiegrandbois.bsky.social shares how preservation and sustainability come together in a changing climate.

A whole bunch of Americans died in a field in PA trying to stop Osama Bin Laden’s cronies from destroying the WH.

That asshole just destroyed the WH for him.

The terrorists must be so pleased.

TACO accomplished what Al Qaeda could not,

while all the mouth breathing “patriots” let him do it.

These words could have been written yesterday.
If you are following along with our Silent Spring / Rachel Carson reading- we are now in Week5! This week, we read chapters 9 & 10, and also this great article: Carson Answers Her Critics www.audubon.org/magazine/arc...
From the Archives: Rachel Carson Answers Her Critics
After the publication of “Silent Spring,” Rachel Carson faced fierce blowback from the pesticide industry. This was her response.

Obviously other viruses can also increase cancer risks but perhaps not so quickly?

There is now compelling medical evidence that Covid-19 infections can reactivate dormant cancer cells, and trigger the growth of secondary cancers.

“If you’re still here, feeling, thinking, and hoping for a way out of this, if you’re still holding onto your values and each other, it’s not over. If you are still breathing and trying, it’s not over.”
My latest. "Do not allow your values to be captured and contained behind a screen in a cycle of inactive reaction. Jailbreak your cynicism and isolation, and escape your devices. Bring your hope, rage, and potential into the world."

I don’t know why some people struggle with the idea that other folks experience life differently. What you find tedious, someone else cherishes as ritual or routine. This is basic people stuff y’all.

Yes, I got *new* recordings & videos of Vought.
