Our values are not priceless. We value consumption more.
The gift of having SV as our homebase. We can scale everything fast and cheap. All it costs us is everything.

Thank you! There’s so much room for grace for some and not others. It’s an intentional choice.
Bonus points for people who called Kamala Harris a war criminal and have every excuse in the book for Platner.

Can’t get their lies right. #LetHerCook
Cook's alleged misdeeds a) took place before she started on the Fed, b) are rarely prosecuted, c) have no bearing on her performance on the job, and d) are obviously a pretextual reason for removing her.

And now e): more evidence that she did not do anything wrong.

Important work, thank you! Prosecutors can set the policies and politics of a community.
I decided to look at all 66 prosecutor elections this fall.

Why? Prosecutors have huge power over sentencing, charging, second chances, and even immigration implications.

Here's everything you need to know, from East to West Coast. New from me:
Your Guide to the 2025 Prosecutor Elections - Bolts
Most of November's prosecutor races feature just one candidate, as usual. But key races will shape the politics of criminal justice, from Philly to Seattle — plus a wild card in New Jersey.

@natashabertrand.bsky.social you’re doing excellent work. They only have fear and intimidation tactics because they’re weak, without moral or intellectual substance. They can’t break your spirit.

MUST WATCH: ICE kidnapped a disabled American citizen.

Her name is Alma Bowman. Born in the Philippines while her dad served in the U.S. Navy.

She’s lived here 48 years.
They crashed her wheelchair, denied meds, cut her off from her lawyer—and jailed her.

I’m totally fine with deporting gang members who commit crimes who don’t have legal status.

I just don’t want Tom Homan or an ICE agent grabbing anyone off the street and flying them to a prison in El Salvador while claiming they are all of those things with zero due process.
