Your casual reminder that the AI bubble (which is about to burst and is the only thing propping up the US economy like a house of cards) is 17x the size of the DotCom bubble of the late 90's, and 4x the size of the Sub-Prime Mortgage bubble of the late 2000's.... lots pain incoming.
My own "turn off smart features" journey ended with FINALLY culling my GMail inbox from 11K messages down to 4K.
It was also nostalgic, going back to when I was one of GMail's 1st adopters... then putting me off any similar nostalgia, as I relived my cranky freelance HTML web-dev days. 🧵

My most woke opinion? This is probably a bit of a milquetoast take, but we should do away with landlords, because if people need it to live, it shouldn't be a commodity. Nobody should get to hoard housing, not some corporation, or individual assholes.
