Bart De Wever’s remarks on frozen Russian assets are a fascinating case study in how intimidation narratives enter Western political speech.

But can we walk through his claims point-by-point — and compare them to history, law, and observable facts?

There is absolutely no reason for the European Union and NATO to behave like we are hostage to the policy choices and objectives of the United States on matters of international affairs, in particular, on Russia's war and genocide against Ukraine. We're not slaves or pawns to Washington.

Russia has lost the war - Where do we go now?
Regardless of what all the Doomsayers are bleeting, Russia has now lost the war, and we are just going through the motions of ending it in the favour of Ukraine (first) and EU (second).

When the USSR collapsed in 1991, communism died—but the KGB survived.

Its officers regrouped, privatized the state, and rebranded.

No longer guided by ideology, their mission became survival: keep privileges, wealth & reach at any cost.

Not contained. Not negotiated with.

And Ukraine is the battlefield where that must happen

Utter garbage news for the Western audience. Vucic is in a deep trouble domestically with massive protests and now he is playing his typical game for Brussels.

Also…He can’t build infrastructure in his country, let alone Ukraine.

Don’t fall for this nonsense.
⚡️Vucic offers to help rebuild Ukrainian cities, reaffirms support for Ukraine's territorial integrity.

"I would like to take one or two cities or regions that we could rebuild. I think that would be very clear and noticeable to the Ukrainian people," Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.
