BREAKING
A ship has been detained in Brindisi, Italy, suspected of evading Russian sanctions.

The vessel, carrying 33,000 tons of iron briquettes, was in Novorossiysk 2 months ago, but the crew turned off the transponder to hide the visit.

Two crew, the owner and an importer are being questioned.

Czech President Petr Pavel said in Kyiv that the Czech Republic will soon send combat jets to Ukraine to fight Russian drones. The aircraft, possibly L-159s, will enhance Ukraine’s air defense. Prague may also provide radar systems.
