The cruelty is the point. Trump didn't offer his followers just ONE brand of hatred. He hates EVERYBODY. Everyone who isn't white, "straight"& male---they hate women, they only admire & like other men, & they grudgingly tolerate the useful few. Turns out, though, they hate each other, too.
