Incredible turnout today for everyone in my small PA district. Black voters especially came out in droves to rock the vote - very notably so! You are an inspiration to this poll worker, good folks ❤️

Man, I was so excited to see Yelle finally for their 20th anniversary in NYC... Guess I'll never get to see them...

Showing the internet my milled pallet boards. I'm planning to rebuild my workbench this weekend! So I stocked up on pallet wood and made sure it's ready to go!

Small project: storage crate for wood burning tool. Has slots for the wires, and a hole in the back for the plug. Wish I had waited until I had a planer to do this one. Alas! It is functional.

Project of the day: potting bench. Still needs a drawer for catching stray soil underneath the mesh, but was a good way to reuse my old desktop + desk legs, as well as spare 1-inch mesh fence. The desktop was hollow so I had to put wood facing on it.

Was able to bring in the stray we've been feeding for weeks. He's a surprisingly polite and affectionate young man. Hoping to get him to the vet this week and fixed, and optimally on his way to a good home.

Oh yeah, and my buddy Jake and I made some knives a few weekends ago. I made the sheath (first real leather project).

This was my first wooden box project, made with mitered joins. It was a good learning project for using a table saw.

Also refinished this entire cat tree. Got it from the home of an elderly lady who passed whose cats I fostered (her daughter asked me to take it). Painted over the pressboard bits to remove smell, removed old carpet and rope, and added new. My favorite feature: leftover veneer bottoms for perches

I'm obsessed with free pallets. Scored some great ones over the weekend.

Also restored this $20 router and stand. Had to take it apart since the shaft lock wasn't engaging. Works like a charm now, kind of scary powerful.

Restored an old Craftsman scrollsaw that had some sort of bug hive in it. Luckily, all bugs found were dead. I got this scroll saw for $20 which is wild. Completely took it apart, cleaned and tuned it up. Now it works great.

Cat food stand made with free pallet wood also. Husband woodburned a motivational and informative message to the cats.

Been working on woodworking lately. Here's a hinged dice box I'm proud of. Made with free pallet wood from a paint store.

1. Call your reps about Trump's violation of the War Powers Act

2. Demand Congress haul Hegseth etc. in for hearings/briefings on justification

3. Demand to know why the Gang of Eight was not kept in the loop.

Do it NOW.

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

This past few days have been crazy. The baby foxes in our yard had poisoning symptoms so we had to trap and bring them in to Pocono Wildlife for treatment. 2/3 made it, and the survivors were reunited with their family today.
