Allowing Rick Scott to dictate healthcare policy really is putting a wolf in charge of the hen house
Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

The party has a choice to make. This will either be an inflection point toward a material change in approach and representation, or it will be the straw that broke the backs of millions. We are too exhausted to match their glib descriptions of infighters. There is no one left to blame.

Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

With these particular senators, feels like you’d need 58/59 Senators to ditch the filibuster, so yeah that sucks
i suspect there’s some truth to this and also why we should be EXTREMELY skeptical that senate dems as currently constituted would ditch the filibuster should they ever have a trifecta again

Dear law students: if you just read the case, you can also experience the high of devastatingly beclowning others
This is just amazing
Andrews: Here's an example of political correctness gone too far. In one landmark 1990s case, a woman was able to get a court to say men couldn't have pinups
Sargeant: Are you out of your mind? It was way more than pinups
Andrews: Right, we all agree she should have won

Lankford won’t do a damn thing for poor Oklahomans, he was elected precisely because he loathes them
WELKER: Should the 300,000 Oklahomas who rely on ACA subsidies be prepared for their costs to skyrocket?
LANKFORD: We're trying to find a way to be able to help
(That's a yes!)

“Made a $12 Billion Loss” is a weird phrase
ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”
That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

I love that Mamdani is what the right claimed Obama was: A Muslim socialist born in Africa. The right practically manifested Mamdani into existence.

“By presenting judging as a realm of pure law, insulated from politics, the justices offer a picture so implausible that it makes the opposite claim—that judging is nothing but politics—more credible.”

Justice Barrett’s Campaign Biography
Amy Coney Barrett’s book, "Listening to the Law," claims the Supreme Court is above politics. Its very existence proves otherwise.
