There are no rules making the supreme court justices recuse from anything. There are recent cases in which their non-recusal was... troubling. However, if they get a case about the files and they're in them and they don't recuse, they could be accused of covering up a crime and impeached.

Another Trump promise with much hype and fanfare when it was announced as a "HUGE WIN" for farmers that didn't happen. Incidentally, we made concessions to the Chinese for this "deal." bsky.app/profile/atru...
CNBC: My understanding is the White House said that China was gonna buy 12 million tons of soybeans from the US by January. That's approaching and they've only purchased 332,000. China has not confirmed that pledge.

I know people are going to revel in the schadenfreude here, but this is really just an admission—given how close the House is split—that they’re just mad it didn’t work. Fewer than a dozen House GOPers could change America tomorrow. That they’re not proves this is just about losing, not principles.

Because they want the petition denied? So they can conflate it with the DOJ Epstein files do they can use the court as an excuse not to release them?

This is DOJ's defense👀

"the evidence clearly demonstrates that Texas was not doing DOJ’s supposed bidding—much less in a race conscious way—but instead was engaged in a race-blind partisan gerrymander that happened to affect the districts DOJ identified."

Seems like a pattern within TPUSA. Wasn’t Bowyer involved in the AZ fake electors plot? Kirk wasn’t (as far as I know), but I imagine a leader’s persistent spreading of false claims about elections may have shaped the actions of other members of the org.

Not to excuse this at all, but a lot of these people legitimately believe the lies about election fraud and probably rationalize their actions as a result. The danger isn’t just that you get a Jan. 6.

The reason why so many foreigners pose as MAGA influencers is because the formula is pretty basic. Post:

1. Immigrants cause 90% of our problems.

2. The other 10% are trans people.

3. Trump is the greatest.

4. All Dems are Marxists who hate America.
