Interesting thread, but I still think that DOGE is about culture wars and redefining the makeup of the federal administration with loyal dummies. Maybe AI is part of the equation, the tards that will be hired in the future will have less questions and integrity that the author here. Time will tell.
I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

It was unfair, maybe, but she pivoted too late, not enough time to rewrite history and undo the mental association between Kamala and peak woke nonsense.
I remain perplexed by people who keep claiming "if only Kamala ran on..." and then list out the things she explicitly did run on, which the media mostly ignored, while repeating the false claims of the MAGA crew that she was a far leftist.
Dems literally ran on being the law and order party, Kamala bragged about owning a gun, Biden deported more people than Trump did in his first term, and they still lost

If Ukraine Deal Wasn't Perilous Before, It Is Now
Ending the bloodshed by putting pressure on both sides and shifting the burden to Europe made some sense. Ambushing the victim and shutting out allies makes the US weaker around the world.

Half of $1.5T in savings will come from slashing Medicaid, not from DOGE finding “fraud”. Plus $4T in tax cuts, for a net result of $2.5T in budget deficit. DOGE was never about efficiency and austerity, it is just a purge for culture war reasons.
