Amazing!
So reading @sgj.bsky.social’s Buffalo Hunter Hunter ignited a *very* old creative spark. I spent the morning painting this which I think I’ll title “Tears for Weasel Plume” but to be determined. Happy Saturday, friends!

I am thrilled to show you all the cover for the 4th Andy Mills book, MIRAGE CITY, due out this October! The new publisher decided to shake the look up a little but I think it looks amazing and most importantly, keeps my amazing cover artists @colinverdi who outdid himself on this one!

It looks like a picture of the moon. But it is not! It is Mercury! In my lifetime, we have gone from only seeing it through observatories than fuzzy pictures from the first fly-bys to this clear picture. Space is amazing and I am here for all of it.

New photos show the volcanic plains of Mercury after a spacecraft fly-by
The BepiColombo spacecraft flew less than 200 miles from Mercury's surface and photographed volcanic plains and icy craters.

Panama offers free medications for HIV/AIDS including PReP. The problem is access from remote areas. If you are not in one of the areas with good infrastructure, it is very hard to travel around.

Why are so many indigenous Panamanians contracting HIV — and dying of AIDS?
The government provides HIV medicines free of charge. Yet in one indigenous territory, cases and deaths are increasing at an alarming rate.

I am always happy to recommend my agents at ethanellenberg.com, but just as a practical matter you don't need my or any authors' permission/blessing to query agents. Just go to the agency's site and look at their submissions guidelines to see if your project fits their needs, and how to query them.

That Donald J. Trump — the same person who instigated a coup four years ago today — will become president on January 20 is an assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our democracy.

When billionaires take control of our most vital platforms for communication, it’s not a win for free speech.

It’s a win for oligarchy.
Ann Telnaes resigned after the Washington Post editorial page killed her cartoon. It’s worth a share.

Big Tech executives are bending the knee to Donald Trump and it’s no surprise why: Billionaires like Jeff Bezos like paying a lower tax rate than a public school teacher.
