Besides the obvious lapse of judgement by a government official to at least use the sink...I am now interested in following the posts of the poop science guy.
As the author of a book about the science of 💩, I’d just like to say that snorting cocaine off 🚽 seats is a great way to get a preventable disease 🦠 (not to mention the danger of addiction & overdose).

As a trained microbiologist, yes, I think a healthy fear of germs is actually a *good* thing. 🧪

looking for movies from the grand old days when we agreed the Nazis were the bad guys? Two fantastic scenes that carried the rest of the movie, but yeah I dug it.
A ★★★★ review of The Passage (1979)
I love old school WW II movies. From the director of Cape Fear and Guns of Navarone, this movie has some low lows but it has a great final act with excellent Nazi killing. This has a huge cast, Malcol...

This is not a movie you enjoy, you endure it. More nerve-wracking than a horror movie, and at times it felt like a Babbadook sequel.
A ★★★★★ review of If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (2025)
This is a great movie, and a horrible experience. At times it feels like a sequel to the Babbdook, more harrowing and anxiety-inducing than most horror movies. The last thing I saw Rose Bryne in she w...

I still found 80% of this week's Starfleet Academy to be cringey, unfunny comedy, but the closing moments were emotionally powerful and a wonderful tribute to one of Trek's greatest characters.

A crime suspense movie where the action and mystery is driven entirely by dialogue and performance. Greed and who can you trust? Lots little narrative tricks I love, but total spoilers.
A ★★★★★ review of The Rip (2026)
Wow This movie is pretty much designed for me. A crime suspense movie where the action and mystery is driven entirely by dialogue and performance. Lots of twists and turns greed. Don't sleep on this o...

Epic
Cheap 70s kung fu film I watched as a student that was apparently dubbed by a bunch of blokes from Peckham. A student berates his martial arts master for wasting his time like this:
"I been 'ere ten years and wot you taught me? Not a sausage."

This tear-jerker set in Japan is very well acted and directed. Big Thumbs up.
A ★★★★★ review of Rental Family (2025)
I really just want to go to Japan and ride trains. This movie will only add to that desire. Tear-jerker about An American actor who gets a gig being a fake dad, Brendan Fraizer is quite good in this. ...

I needed a film where bad guys get got. This John Wick Spin-off fits into the third film timeline wise. IF you like ridiculous the flamethrower battle was worth effort, sorry I missed it on the big screen.
A ★★★★ review of Ballerina (2025)
This was a good John Wick spin-off set during the events of the third picture showing they had more of a plan in that film that it seemed. Ana De Armes did what she needed to do here. The real heroes ...

What do we elect people for if not to defend us at this time.
Federal agents killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis this morning. He was a 37-year-old ICU nurse who spent his career keeping people alive — including at the VA.

Call your senators & call Schumer. Vote NO on DHS funding. 🧵

Thank you! There is nothing subjective here this is a federal execution on the street.
Why do media companies print obvious lies from the propagandists in the Trump admin as if that is the “other side” of the story when you have objective, irrefutable evidence to disprove it? Traditional norms/practices don’t work with this regime. Why do you spread their lies?
January 25, 2026 at 2:38 AM
It seems weird posting a review for a movie that made me smile last night, when our government is executing nurses in the street. but my boy Issa was right this is a fun movie. might help to stop doom scrolling.
A ★★★★ review of Good Fortune (2025)
Really enjoyed this comedy that is wrapped a pretty heavy handed message. I enjoyed the sarcastic tone. Reeves really carried the movie for me.

Minnesota State officials (BCA) had a SIGNED warrant from an independent judge to investigate the shooting. DHS DENIED them access to the scene and said they would investigate themselves.

This is unconstitutional and any conclusion DHS comes to can’t be trusted.
Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans says his team arrived on the scene of the shooting to conduct an independent investigation and "were blocked by federal agents with the Department of Homeland Security."

Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.

Any second now, I'm sure.

He was a white guy, if that helps?

Hello? NRA?
