There are almost no wrong ways to make a zine, plus it's fun to hold something you made in your hands.
(Also they're portable, tangible, have a very low barrier to entry, and just feel good to make)

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜
The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.

i grew up loving drawing but never had the patience to actually learn the fundamentals. i'm trying now and even though i know it's just skill acquisition and that talent is a myth i'm just like there is something in my hands or eyes that makes this impossible for me to do

Quiet aggressions. I embroider things I want to say but feel like I shouldn’t and then wear them under my clothing so that I still feel like I’m being truthful and speaking my mind, but no one else has to know. #art #embroidery #textileart
