Wildlife watcher and stargazer. Environmentalist. Plant eater. Anti-capitalist. Noticer. I draw a bit. I like to take photos. Writing my first novel. I have a social conscience. Trekker. 😊
The actions of the narcissistic world leaders to satisfy their egos has sickened me over recent years. The lack of backbone of the remaining leaders to condemn the actions of these idiots has also sickened me. So, to escape reality I have had a sudden urge to reread this masterpiece. 😊

Love this tale....🍄
An old tale tells that mushrooms are umbrellas, carried by woodland spirits to shelter them from the rain as they go about their nightly tasks. When it is time for them to return to their underground world at dawn, they plant them in the earth for safekeeping. #folklore #nature

😱OMG. What a totally unprofessional, rude, aggressive and thoroughly unpleasant person Carole Malone is. Whatever the subject matter might have been, her right wing attitude of shouting down an opponent would have prevailed. Keep on doing what you are doing, Zack. 👍

The attention to detail is quite stunning. A painting within a painting. A beautiful work of art created nearly 400 years ago. Quite remarkable. 👍😊
Gabriël Metsu, a contemporary of Vermeer, depicts a fashionably-dressed man writing a letter with a quill pen, his face and hands highlighted by light streaming in from the open window. A richly decorated Persian rug covers the table (1666, Nat Gallery Ireland)

Last night, as viewed from Huddersfield, a supermoon. Also know as the Hunter's moon or Harvest moon. I find it quite stunning the clarity you can get from a mobile phone. 😊

So, we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Thought the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.

ps. At 67 ah couldn't be bothered.

I've got to 67 years of age without needing a digital ID, so why would I need one now? Another politician simply using politics to benefit them. Shameful. 🤨
I’ve just signed the petition against mandatory digital ID. This is going to be open to abuse by any future Trump-like government, will make no difference to immigration, and will push marginalised people further into the darkness. Say no.

Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards
We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

The recent painting by Banksy that has been covered up. Surely the right to protest peacefully is a must? 😊

Long live Cyril. At 5.00 pm, today, Cyril popped in for tea. The heavens had earlier opened and well-needed rain bounced off the pavements. Thunder can still be heard. Mi little buddy is trusting me more and more. Pls click to 🦻😊

The moon shining, oh so bright, last night.
Probably one of the clearest pictures I have managed to get of my constant companion, on mi mobile. 😊

Last night at 9.00pm. The beautiful full moon lighting up the sky over 'uddersfield. A row of humble council bungalows protecting its residents from the elements, will allow them to shortly drift off to sleep, and face another day on the 'morrow 😴

Last night's full moon trying to escape from total darkness. Wouldn't you? 🤔
September 7, 2025 at 8:06 AM
A slight haze surrounded last night's moon at 8.00pm.The moon was not quite fully round, so it was in its waxing gibbous phase. That didn't bother me, she still looked pretty to me. Another of my weeks has disappeared into the black void. Only 4,000 they say, if you're lucky. I'm hoping I'm lucky. 😊

Another week has gone by, and as always I am truly grateful for the little pleasures it brings. We had a few much needed heavy downpours of rain. Here Cyril, in his unique way, shows how to avoid the rain. 🐿️ Don't try this at home. 🤣

I'm in my first year of retirement and halfway through writing my first novel. I'm also making mi little garden as wildlife friendly as I can. I now have time to watch the marvelous wildlife that chooses to visit me. This morning a collard dove paid me a visit. Pls click to 🦻. Sithee later. 😊

About time too. Also time to scrap this first class nonsense and the booking of seats in advance. It's unfair and totally out of date. The trains service should be for all people all of the time, when the want and need to travel.
Peak rail fares have been scrapped on ScotRail trains, meaning passengers will no longer pay higher prices for travelling during busy weekday rush hours.

Peak time rail fares srapped on ScotRail trains
Some routes will see fares fall by as much as 50% at busy times, but on others prices will be unchanged.

Yesterday, I sat and quietly and watched a grey heron go about its business. I think the contrast in colour of the grey heron in a pond covered in green algae, makes an interesting shot. 😊
