Wildlife watcher and stargazer. Environmentalist. Plant eater. Anti-capitalist. Noticer. I draw a bit. I like to take photos. Writing my first novel. I have a social conscience. Trekker. 😊
The actions of the narcissistic world leaders to satisfy their egos has sickened me over recent years. The lack of backbone of the remaining leaders to condemn the actions of these idiots has also sickened me. So, to escape reality I have had a sudden urge to reread this masterpiece. 😊

Last night, as viewed from Huddersfield, a supermoon. Also know as the Hunter's moon or Harvest moon. I find it quite stunning the clarity you can get from a mobile phone. 😊

So, we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Thought the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.
Lord Byron.

ps. At 67 ah couldn't be bothered.

Last night. 🤔

The recent painting by Banksy that has been covered up. Surely the right to protest peacefully is a must? 😊

Long live Cyril. At 5.00 pm, today, Cyril popped in for tea. The heavens had earlier opened and well-needed rain bounced off the pavements. Thunder can still be heard. Mi little buddy is trusting me more and more. Pls click to 🦻😊

The moon shining, oh so bright, last night.
Probably one of the clearest pictures I have managed to get of my constant companion, on mi mobile. 😊

Last night at 9.00pm. The beautiful full moon lighting up the sky over 'uddersfield. A row of humble council bungalows protecting its residents from the elements, will allow them to shortly drift off to sleep, and face another day on the 'morrow 😴

Last night's full moon trying to escape from total darkness. Wouldn't you? 🤔
September 7, 2025 at 8:06 AM
A slight haze surrounded last night's moon at 8.00pm.The moon was not quite fully round, so it was in its waxing gibbous phase. That didn't bother me, she still looked pretty to me. Another of my weeks has disappeared into the black void. Only 4,000 they say, if you're lucky. I'm hoping I'm lucky. 😊

Cyril the squirrel versus Walter the woodpigeon in the battle for the peanuts. Sorry for the initial shakes. Probably an age thing. 😞 Please click and watch till the end. Oh how my little friends entertain me. Sithee later and have a smashing weekend. 😊🐿️ 🦉#birds

Another week has gone by, and as always I am truly grateful for the little pleasures it brings. We had a few much needed heavy downpours of rain. Here Cyril, in his unique way, shows how to avoid the rain. 🐿️ Don't try this at home. 🤣

I'm in my first year of retirement and halfway through writing my first novel. I'm also making mi little garden as wildlife friendly as I can. I now have time to watch the marvelous wildlife that chooses to visit me. This morning a collard dove paid me a visit. Pls click to 🦻. Sithee later. 😊

Tis Tuesday morning and my feathered friends have popped by for their breakfast. Mi little council garden is often full of wildlife because I give them a little helping hand to survive. It doesn't cost me much but brings me a lot of pleasure. Pls click to👂. Sithee. 😊 #birds 🦉

Yesterday, I sat and quietly and watched a grey heron go about its business. I think the contrast in colour of the grey heron in a pond covered in green algae, makes an interesting shot. 😊

Hey, up. It's finally raining in 'uddersfield. I thought it had forgotten how to do so. 4.25 today. 😊Pls click and 🦻

This is Cyril. After eyeballing me this morning across the garden, from his bench, 5 ft from the ground, he then descended and walked up the garden path to greet me as I opened the door. He casually walked in front of me back to his feeding station. Made my day. My week! Bless 'im. 😊🐿️

In the front garden of 160, my lovely lady, Sue, plants all the flowers. I enjoy looking after the indoor plants. So, Sue takes the credit for planting this beautiful coloured sword lily. 👍😊

Watched cartoons with the little one rather than the news. Oh, how much better it made me feel within. I intend to drastically limit how much news I now watch on TV. Watching in disbelief at man being so cruel to fellow humans and the planet does me no good. 🤔

Just returned from four days at Barmston Beach, near Bridlington. Me and Sue, my eldest daughter and her two daughters. Had a lovely time. Nowt there apart from the delightful beach. To really enjoy life you only need your family around you. 😊

Whilst in Westwoodside, the village had an 'open garden day'. Oh I do love Britishness. An expensive 'bug hotel' in a posh garden and the delightful wood models made by a lovely old chap, of 83, made the day a wonderful experience. Finished off with Victoria Sponge, Ice Cream and a 'cup a tea'.
👍😊

I adore piers. So quintessentially part of our British holiday. A visit to the seaside requires a walk on the pier; 'goes without saying'. The pier cost £8,000 to build and was opened in 1873. 😊

Sue and me visited her brother, Stefan, in Westwoodside, near Doncaster. last weekend. A lovely village. Had a smashing time. One day we visited Cleethorpes. I do love seaside towns. The ambiance of any seaside town makes me feel instantly relaxed and happy with the world. 🦞😊

I could never understand the logic of the Government spending billions so that commuters can reach their destination quicker. Surely life is a journey and every moment, every step we take, should be enjoyed. Saturday, me and Sue, strolling from Marsden to 'uddersfield on the canal towpath. 😊

Walter: 'Morning, love. Did you sleep well?
Ethel: I did, dear. Looks like it's going to be a lovely sunny day today.

Enjoy your day, one and all. 😎🌞 🦉
