Gee whizz! My article on Twilight 2000 in the Journal of American studies is now the most read piece over the last 3 months, despite it only being available for a couple of weeks. That's kind of terrifying! Thanks so much to everyone who's taken the time to engage with it!

Like a wound, grief does not heal overnight. As the days pass, let the empty space fill with memories, let the sorrow be replaced with gratitude for the good times, the kind words, and most of all, the part of them that made you who you are.

What's your favourite song about rain.

A song so good that even being ripped off by Noel Gallagher for ever single song he ever wrote doesn't diminish it.

My favourite mini in ages, a resin Tod the fox from @fenrisgames.com

A genuine joy to paint and he's so cute! Barely 25mm high but so much character. I dare you to paint him without going "Squee!"

Four pics of Tod hoping to pass his Sneak roll.

Hurrah! My article on the Twilight 2000 RPG in the Journal of American Studies is now open access (OA), so anyone who wants to can have a read. OA is important to me, as I want my work on RPG history to go beyond the academy and reach the gaming public.

Wielding power over the powerless is the mark of the bully. Wielding strength against the weak is cowardice. Real strength is when you have such power, but choose to use it in defence of the vulnerable instead. That is the mark of the true warrior.

Your enemies are counting on you to lose hope. Despair is one of their greatest weapons, for it leads you to stop fighting for yourself. Hold on to hope, no matter how hard it is, and refuse to join your enemy in bringing you down.

It is said that you must pick your battles, but often they are picked for you. You should not give in just because you did not choose the fight. No, you must respond with all your determination and ferocity, and show your enemy they picked the wrong battle, with the wrong warrior.
