I really do think people committing to a better Facebook alternative and exclusively posting there would naturally generate some amount of network growth from relatives. People naturally want to share their family life! Why reward Zuck for that?
Facebook is so goddamn unusable now, I really think there might be something to starting a grassroot replacement of some kind.

AI today is like having a compenent junior programmer available to you for free. If you go slowly with it, you can do some really impressive things! And you will actually learn best practices along the way much more quickly than if you were doing your own spaghetti code.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.
Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

AI has this weird dichotomy of either making you moderately more productive through measured use or else showcasing that you don't know what AI slop is and need to be fired. Can't scale while this human bottleneck is there.

All of the little tidbits like how the set crew is included in the fun and also how behind the scenes Sam even pays for auditions makes the entire operation feel like an edgy adult version of PBS Kids? Dropout is the only subscription service ive felt good about adding on a fundamental level.
