He's slipping, you're supposed to announce this on Friday when markets close.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

The Chair Company is so good! I didn't know that "nonsense suspense thriller" could actually be done well, but Tim pulled it off.

Donald Trump is losing support with Hispanics, can't address cost of living, and is calling for the release of the Epstein files. Is Donald Trump a Democrat?

BRB creating my own heretical Bible using chatGPT.
AI slop now making up saccharine Bible verses that do not exist

You can't evaluate Epstein's statements post-Trump fallout without taking that into consideration, I'd take with a grain of salt that he thought Trump was the worst person he knew.

I really do think people committing to a better Facebook alternative and exclusively posting there would naturally generate some amount of network growth from relatives. People naturally want to share their family life! Why reward Zuck for that?
Facebook is so goddamn unusable now, I really think there might be something to starting a grassroot replacement of some kind.

There should be photos of this, yes? Why aren't there photos of this?

IVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THE PEE TAPE IS REAL. I WAS SELF CENSORING FOR POLITE COMPANY.

Does Mandami have a plan for housing outside of rent control?

First-term vs second-term Trump impacts. I would have thought that higher turnout would tighten the margins, but the opposite happened.
November 5, 2025 at 2:04 PM
The destruction of the White House East Wing really is symbolic of the Trump presidency. The destruction of our country's legacy for something cheap and tacky with timid public concern.

AI today is like having a compenent junior programmer available to you for free. If you go slowly with it, you can do some really impressive things! And you will actually learn best practices along the way much more quickly than if you were doing your own spaghetti code.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

Was at a Pokémon store building a deck for my kiddo, and some dude came in and asked the 17 year old behind the counter if he'd buy a slab for $2k. This bubble is BONKERS.

Nobody even plays anymore! The meta staples are dirt cheap.

Building my daughter her first pokemon tcg deck to play and was shocked at how inexpensive the game is. The pricing is entirely decoupled from the gameplay.

more and more convinced of the need for a sort of plastic surgery norm around Gen AI: it’s fine in of itself to use, any use of it where it’s clear to a layman that you used it should face severe ostracism. If you can’t get away with it without me knowing, you aren’t responsible enough to use it
A student on TikTok has been documenting her journey with a professor who “wrote” the anatomy textbook and it’s all a bunch of AI hallucinations.

She’s saying that, understandably, the students are doing super poorly!

Behold what we’re teaching the healthcare professionals of tomorrow:

AI has this weird dichotomy of either making you moderately more productive through measured use or else showcasing that you don't know what AI slop is and need to be fired. Can't scale while this human bottleneck is there.
AI has lost the dunce vote. It’s over

I keep telling myself I'm quitting Magic, and then I keep finding reasons to continue funding my habit.
Wizards of the Coast is hosting a Twitch stream to support Trans Lifeline, a hotline and non-profit organization offering direct support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.

Tune in to twitch.tv/magic on Oct 4th at 10am PT to play games with us and support!

All of the little tidbits like how the set crew is included in the fun and also how behind the scenes Sam even pays for auditions makes the entire operation feel like an edgy adult version of PBS Kids? Dropout is the only subscription service ive felt good about adding on a fundamental level.
This is basically the ethos of Dropout

The Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack is the 2025 hit that parents can't stop listening to, because when you turn it off your children just start singing it.

I've been forced to listen to the Kpop Demon Hunter soundtrack for over a week now.
