This is very middle school humour – but I’m doing French on Duolingo and whenever I have a speaking exercise and cannot think of the adjective or noun to start my sentence I just say, “je suis” because nothing feels more French than saying “oui, JE SUIS les orange”

I'll soon be 46 yrs old. My father will be 69. The youngest of his siblings, he was the first in my family who didn't pick cotton as a child.
"History" ain't that long ago. We remember in our bones.

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.
